Barbara Ann Danielson, 71, a resident of Westport, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia. Barbara was born on June 23, 1941 in Bloomington, CA to Frank and Wilma (Harms) Readman. She grew up on the family farm outside Santa Barbara, CA. In 1961, Barbara married James Raymond Danielson whom was in the Army. They moved to Arizona for a while before moving back to California. In 1966, after just five years of marriage, James died from an accident. Barbara later moved to North Bend, WA and then Hoquiam in 1976. A year later she moved to Iowa and then to Westport in 1986. Barbara worked many jobs during her life including that of a housekeeper for Harbor Health Care in Aberdeen. She was a member of The 700 Club and enjoyed watching Christian Cable Ministries on channel 20. Barbara was an avid reader, liked to paint and making clothes from patterns she designed. She even made her brother’s wife-to-be wedding dress. She also loved being with her grandkids. Barbara is survived by three sons: James Danielson, Mesa, AZ, Danny Ray and wife Jamie Danielson, Council Bluff, Iowa and Richard Danielson of Texas; a daughter: Kimberlie Danielson, Westport, WA; seven grandkids and five great grandkids. Barbara was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 12th at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Westport.
