Barbara Nan Ledford

Barbara Nan Ledford, 77, of Olympia, passed from this world on Sunday Oct 4th. She was born July 3rd, 1938, to John and Ruth Ledford in Yakima Washington. She is survived by her brother John Ledford, two sons Steve and Christopher Nelson, daughter-in-law Lynn Nelson, step-children; Noelle Bennett, Carol Garland, and Kelly Watson, many grandchildren and great grandchildren alike. A parent never overcomes the loss of a child and Barbara was no exception. Her oldest son Gregory died in 1983. Now finally, her grieving can be over. Barbara graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1956 then attended Grays Harbor Community College for two years. After a career in accounting that took her as far away as Okinawa and Mobile AL, she finally returned to her beloved Pacific Northwest and recently retired from the medical billing industry. She was a lifelong Catholic and attended St. Michael Church in Olympia. Go with God Barbara. We miss you. A memorial mass will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Noon in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Olympia. A Celebration of Life will be held for Barbara at 1:00pm on Saturday Nov 7th at 1301 Alonda Lane NE, Olympia Wa, 98516.
