Bryan Purdy Obituary

Bryan Delbert Purdy, 50, a lifelong resident of Hoquiam, died at his home in Hoquiam, Thursday, July 11, 2013. He was born in Aberdeen, February 22, 1963, the son of Delbert and Anneliese Purdy. He attended Hoquiam schools and then had worked in a carpet store on the Harbor. Bryan was a cement mason and had worked for Peter Kiewit Construction on their many projects and also for Quigg Brothers Construction among other companies. He was a member of the Cement Masons and Plasterers Union of Seattle, the Grays Harbor YMCA and had attended Immanuel Baptist Church. He liked hiking, fishing, clam digging, camping and could build and fix most anything. Bryan is survived by three daughters: Aliese Purdy, Spokane, Brianna Purdy, Pullman and Kaitlyn Purdy, Arlington, WA; his mother: Anneliese Purdy, Hoquiam; his companion: Debbie Simon, Hoquiam; a sister: Tamara Hill, Montesano; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 19th, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1200 Soule St., Hoquiam. Pastor Kent Gravley will officiate. The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Donations Processing Center, File 30947, P.O. Box 6000, SanFrancisco, CA 94160.
