Georgia Lynn Simpkins, 62, longtime harborite and 1969 graduate of Weatherwax High School, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA. Georgia was born on October 12, 1951 in Tacoma, Washington to Gordon and Opal (Grunow) Bagnell. They moved to Central Park where she grew up and later graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1969. On February 5, 1970, Georgia married Ron Simpkins, Sr. in Aberdeen. They were married for 36 years before they were divorced. Georgia was a homemaker and a really good artist. She was a great cook too. Georgia is survived by two sons: Ronnie Simpkins, Jr of Westport and Randy Simpkins of Elma; two daughters: Monica Aasen of Beaverton, OR and Melinda and husband James Fisk of Shelton; a brother, Gordy Bagnell of Olympia and a sister, Susan Davis of Las Vegas, NV; Eight grandchildren and a Companion, James Ramsey of Westport. Georgia was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Schaffer. A potluck celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, August 3rd at Schafer State Park, site S-1, 1365 W. Schafer Park Rd, Elma, WA. A message of condolence or of a memory can be left for the family at www.fernhillfuneral.com Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
