Kasey Caskey

Kasey Lee Caskey Kasey was born October 24th, 1989 in Aberdeen, Washington to Marie and Kelly Caskey. Kasey passed away May 12 in St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia after a 3 week battle due to acute strep/staph pneumonia and ARDS. He donated his corneas to Sightlife to give the gift of sight to someone else. Kasey was the office manager at his dad’s family owned business, Caskey Industrial Supply Co., Inc. in Cosmopoliis. He was very proud to work with his dad and brother, hoping one day to be one of the owners of the family’s legacy. Kasey graduated in the top 25 of his class from Aberdeen High School in 2008. He attended GH College briefly before joining the Caskey Industrial Family. Kasey was a large man with a heart to match, He didn’t have any enemies. He would go pull a stranger out of a ditch at 3 a.m. if they called him. Even when he was befriended, he would not dislike the person. He was a gentle giant that loved life and to make people happy. He was everyone’s friend who’s lives he touched. His outgoing personality and infectious smile would be his character traits. Kasey was an avid sports fan. He loved going to Seahawk and Husky football games with his family. If there was a sport on, it was playing on his TV. He was a standout baseball player from little league through senior babe ruth. He loved all types of music and enjoyed working with wood; from making furniture to making his senior project which was a custom entrance sign for the family’s river camping lot. Kasey loved to go camping and float down the Satsop River. He was an amazing horseshoe player, loved riding quads, especially with his nephew Tyler, and doing a river steamer. He loved all holidays, 4th of July and Christmas being his favorites. He loved spending time with his family, playing with his nieces & nephews, hoping someday he would have children of his own. Kasey leaves behind his parents Kelly and Marie (Pratt) Caskey, his brother Brett (Tasha,Tyler,Jade, Isaiah, Tessa)Caskey, sister Katelyn Caskey and his two cats Howie and Kali .Many Aunts ,Uncles and cousins: Kevin and Barb (Kevin, Jamie, Jordan) Caskey, Kerri (caskey) (Kori Philips, Brodey Jones, Krista Kersker)Jones, Kandi (Caskey) Ron (Alexys, Andrew, Seth) Johnson. Margaret (Pratt) Rick Jenkins(Angie Aaron, Bob), Delbert (Pam) Pratt, John and Char (Greg, Bonnie, Ben, David)Pratt, Jim and Freda (Tim, Nathan, Rebecca, Debra, Josiah) Pratt and many more cousins. Kasey would say “keep making Smiles, pass it forward”. There will be viewing at Fern Hill Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 – 5 and Friday from 1 – 8. The funeral will be held Saturday the 18th at the First Presbyterian Church at 420 N. Broadway, Aberdeen, WA at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow oat the church.
