Kenneth Kellogg Obituary

Kenneth Clair Kellogg, Sr., 69, a longtime resident of Aberdeen and former share holder at Hoquiam Plywood, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born in Aberdeen on September 3, 1941 to Clair Kenneth and Pauline (Brigham) Kellogg. He grew up in Tyee Valley in Oregon and graduated from The Washington School for the Death , Vancouver, WA in 1960. He then sailed briefly with the U.S. Merchant Marines on tugs around the world. He became a shareholder at the Hoquiam Plywood Mill in 1972 and worked the green chain until retirement in 1995. Kenneth was a member of the NRA and loved hunting, fishing, clam digging and working in his yard. He was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor and was widely known though out the Aberdeen area. Kenneth is survived by a son Kenneth Kellogg Jr. of Rochester, WA and a daughter Brenda and husband Kelly House of Elma; two grandchildren: Aaron and Ashley Gallington; a sister Gayle Green of Montesano. In the last six months, Ken renewed his friendship with his ex-wife Gloria Ball, who then took care of him these last few months. There will be a celebration of Kenneth's Life on Saturday, March 19th from 2-6 PM at Ken’s home, 317 N. Jeffries in Aberdeen.
