Logan Joseph Carter, 14, East Satsop resident and 8th grader at Montesano Junior/Senior High School, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2012 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Logan was born on November 13, 1997 in Olympia, WA to Mark L. and Angela C. (Ward) Carter. He lived in Montesano for 10 years before his parents moved to East Satsop area. Logan was very active in sports. He wanted to play football and wrestling for Boise State. He also enjoyed baseball, track, basketball and weightlifting. When he wasn’t playing sports he was playing on his Xbox. Logan is survived by his parents: Mark and Angela Carter of Montesano; brothers: Corbin and Cruz Carter of Montesano; grandfather Neil and wife Marianne Carter of Coffman Cove, Alaska, grandmother Jan and husband Glen Price of Forks and grandparents David and Diane Ward of Olympia; Great Grandmothers: Maxine Carter of Bend, OR and June Huff-Adams of Olympia. A Celebration of Life for Logan will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1 PM in the Montesano High School Gym, Montesano, WA. Reception to follow in the high school Commons.
