Marcia Janice Lenss, 60, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, died at her home there Saturday, December 19, 2015. Marcia was born in Aberdeen on October 15, 1955, the daughter of Joel Clyde and Marjorie Glee (Highland) Brown.

She had attended Cosmopolis, North River and Aberdeen schools. She had been a homemaker and liked working with plants and gardening, and animals. She was a volunteer at PAWS.

Marcia is survived by two sons: Peter J. Lenss, Aberdeen and Joshua J. and wife Lyndsay Lenss, Elma; four daughters: Poppy and husband James Cogburn, Jasmine and husband Eric Gartner and Cora J. Lenss, all of Aberdeen and Daisy A. J. Baldwin, Ocean Shores; four brothers: Jerry and wife Gloria Brown, San Miguel Allende, Mexico, Wayne Brown, Montesano, and Gene and Jaime Brown, both of Aberdeen; a sister-in-law: Dale Brown, Cosmopolis; her companion: John Soldevilla, Aberdeen; and also 23 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Don and Ricky Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 9th at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3101 Cherry St., Hoquiam, WA 98550. A fellowship meal will follow the service at the church.
