Norma E. Matthews, 88, our beloved Mother, joined our Dad in heaven to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 1, 2011. Norma was born in Jackson, Mississippi on June 1, 1923. That’s where she met and married Earl Matthews. They were together until his passing in 2005. She also preceded in death by her Dad and Mom, one sister and two sons-in-laws. Norma is survived by her son Earl Matthews Jr. and daughters: Barbara Henderson, Betty and husband Bill James and Nancy and husband Joe McGraw of Aberdeen, and Linda and husband Rick Scott of Carson City, NV, Sue and husband Gary Krause of Kelso, WA. 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Mom will always be remembered for her sweet spirit and sense of humor. Her great love for God and her family. There will be a celebration of Norma’s life on Saturday December 17th at 1:00 PM at Harbor Assemble of God Church, 716 ‘M’ St., Hoquiam, WA. A card of condolence or of a memory can be left for the family at www.fernhillfuneral.com Cremation arrangements are through Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
