Sharon Munce

Sharon Kathleen Munce, 69, a fifteen year resident of Westport, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen, Friday, February 28, 2014. She was born in Portland, OR, November 16, 1944, the daughter of Clarence Verden and Dorothy (Richards) Munce. Sharon was raised in Portland and graduated from a Portland high school. She received an AA from Vancouver Community College. For 39 years she worked for the Bonneville Power Administration, in her last years as a foreman at the Vancouver facility making sure the materials were available in the yard for the linemen and construction crews. After commuting to her home in Westport weekly for several years, she retired in 2010, coming to Westport permanently. She enjoyed walking on the beach, antique collections, history and reading. Sharon has no family, but a circle of friends that includes a friend of many years, Donette Sexton, Wapato, WA. A memorial gathering is planned for a later time.
