John Flink

John Arthur Flink passed away at his home on Sunday August 24, 2014. He was 69. John was born on November 2, 1944 in Tacoma, Washington to Milton and Margaret (Brueher) Flink and raised in Montesano. John graduated from Montesano High School in 1964 and served in the United States Navy from May of 1966 until May of 1968. On August 27, 1980 John married the love of his life, Linda Lou Herron, in the Montesano Methodist Church, and together they raised six children and loved six others as their own. John was a father and Uncle John to many. John worked as a Longshoreman, and was a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW. John loved hunting, fishing, working on the farm and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved sharing time with his brothers and sisters and rarely missed any social events. John loved to visit with his friends and family any chance he got. John is survived by his loving wife Linda at the family home, three daughters; Katina Flink, Julie Woods, Abby Jo Ridgway, three sons; Thomas, Chris, and Kyle Flink, and loved as his own, Isaiah Ridgway, Harmony Turney, Gabby Wollcot, Vonnie and Bethany Patnude, Dovie Rangel, one sister; Margie Flink, and five brothers; Frank, Joe, Randy, Jerry, Arne Flink and 23 grandchildren. A celebration of John’s life with a potluck will be held on September 14, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the pavilion at the Grays Harbor county fairgrounds.
