Melvin Carl Smith passed on Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Washington. He was a spry 68 years old. Melvin was born to William and Murrah L. Smith on September 1st, 1949 in Boise, Idaho and was raised in Federal Way, Washington. He also lived in Tacoma, Washington. Melvin worked in automotive as a mechanic for many years and spent his free time fishing. Melvin is survived by his children Rose M. Smith of Copalis Beach, Washington, Thomas R. Smith and Murrah L. Smith of Ocean Shores, Washington; brother Thomas A. Smith of Onalaska, Washington; sister Marie L. Meyers of Everett, Washington; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Donna Smith and brother Richard Smith. A Potluck Celebration of Melvin’s Life will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at the North Beach Senior Center, 885 Ocean Shores Boulevard NW, Ocean Shores.
