Mark Lynch

Mark Curtiss Lynch, age 57, loving son, father, brother and grandfather, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born to Darrel and Elizabeth Lynch on Dec. 15, 1959, in Lewiston. Mark completed his entire education in Clarkston schools. He was an outstanding athlete in track, baseball and football. Big game hunting for elk, deer and other critters was his passion. He especially enjoyed hunting with black powder muzzleloaders. Everyone was his friend, and he left behind a multitude of those who loved him and enjoyed his jokes, wisdom, tall tales and sense of humor. His employers included Swanson Logging, Ray Moss Logging (where he worked as a "hooker") and the city of Clarkston. A very special thanks to Pete Broyles and all the gang at Riverport Brewery (Mark's other home), and childhood friend Matthew Chinchinian, who provided him with friendship, kindness and care. In addition, thanks to the staff in the intensive care units at Tri-State Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, who treated him with such good care and dignity. Mark is survived by his parents; brother Timothy Lynch (Svetlana); sister Darby Justis (Eric); sister-in-law Debbie Batterton Lynch; children James Lynch (Sophia), Matthew Lynch (Molly) and Sydney Lynch (Trent); grandchildren Cash, Wilder, Laila, Drake and Rozalynn Lynch, and Miley and Wyatt Webb; and several nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Lynch; grandparents Jim and Connie Marker, and Allie and Emily Tucker. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service per Mark's request. Merchant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A covered-dish celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 30 at Riverport Brewery. 150 Ninth St., Clarkston. Vaya con Dios, dear Mark. "Go rest high on that mountain. Your work on Earth is done."
