James Ronald Johnson August 31, 1961 – June 10, 2019 Rock Island, Washington James Ronald “Ronnie” Johnson, 57, a long-time resident of Rock Island, passed away at his home on Monday, June 10, 2019. Ronnie was born on August 31, 1961 in Torrance, California, to the late Odell and Ruth (Moser) Johnson. He grew up and attended school at Rock Island Elementary and Sterling Junior High and also attended Eastmont High School. He worked at Lambwestin in Quincy for numerous years as laborer in sanitation. His favorite hobbies were going camping, hanging out with his friends and family and helping people. He always loved lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He will always be remembered for writing and singing songs. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and his brother Curtis. He is survived by his sister, Sharon Johnson of Rock Island, WA; brothers: Gary Johnson of Lexington, South Carolina, Larry Johnson of Maine and Curtis Johnson of Yakima, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doyle Johnson of Marysville, WA; sisters: Debbie Sade of Rock Island, WA and Judy Musgrove of Wenatchee, WA. A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Alex Garza, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at the Rock Island Community Church, located at 304 Rock Island Dr, Rock Island, WA 98850.
