Alex Brockwell

Loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born 04-20-37, passed away peacefully 06-05-18. Leon loved his family above all else. He took great pride in his family, showering them with love every chance he got. He was a wonderful example to his large family; teaching them the importance of a strong work ethic, family first, and how precious life truly is. He will be missed more than words can express. Leon was preceeded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dolores. Survived by children: Allen Brockwell, Laura (Don) Bentson, Susan (Loren) Ohlheiser, Karen (Mike) McNiven, JoAnn (Roger) Palfenier, Joseph (Magaly) Brockwell, and Paul (Andi) Brockwell. 9 grandchildren: Roland Palfenier, Matthew Palfenier, Michael McNiven, Blythe (Logan) Bushnell, Victoria, (Jesse) Fisher, Alexandria Brockwell, Nataly Brockwell, Patrick Brockwell, Alex Brockwell and granddaughter of the heart, Daniela Contreras. 6 great-grandchildren: Amelia, Nora, and Dane Palfenier; Kendyl, Aubrey, and Landon Bushnell Brother in Laws: Jerry Ehnat, Don Ehnat, and Tom (Elizabeth) Ehnat. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish 14601 A Street S., Tacoma, WA. Friday, June 15th, 2018 Viewing 9:30 am – 10:00 am, Rosary, 10:00 am, Funeral Mass, 11:00 am. The family would like to express their thanks to all that have reached out and loved Leon like their own. He enjoyed his friendships and relationships with all of you. A special thanks to the staff at Heartwood Extended Care that took such good care of our Dad. He truly felt that you were his second family. Thank you so much.
