Brunhild Elma Baker

Brunhild Elma (Maass) Baker 11/4/46 - 4/10/20 Our beloved Brunie died in her home @ age of 73. She lost her courageous 6 month battle with Pancreatic cancer. She was born in Börger, Germany. She immigrated with her family to Morton, Wa. in 1956. They moved to Tacoma, Wa. in 1957. Graduated from Lincoln High School and Western Washington University. She was a member of Future Teachers of America, the Future Teachers Committee of the Tacoma Association of classroom teachers. The first chapter was formed at LHS. She was recognized and her picture in the TNT in April 1964. She was a elementary school teacher for 30 yrs before she retired, and especially loved the 10 years as a kindergarten teacher. She loved her family, flowers, gardening, watching History channel and many animal channels. And her 20 yr old cat, Rascal! She was predeceased by both her parents, Werner and Hedwig Maass, and her brother Dietmar Maass. She is survived by her sisters Irmie Cuddy, Patti Knox (Norm), and brother Will (Lila). Her daughter Kristi Cullivan (Chris), and grandchildren Conor and Bella Cullivan. And many nieces and nephews and their families and relatives in Germany. Burial @ Old Tacoma Cemetery Wednesday, April 22 at 2pm. 4801 So. Tacoma Way. Flowers and condolences can be sent there. There will be no open funeral due to Covid 19. Please respect.
