Delphia Jane Miller Obituary

Delphia “Del” Jane (Anderson) Miller, 57 of Colliers, WV, daughter of the late Bill and Sarah (Glover) Anderson, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 1, 2020. Del, born June 26, 1963, was the devoted wife of Timothy (Tim) Miller, the ever caring mother of Laci Ann Miller and the doting grandmother of Xavier and Riley. One of 17 children, Del's siblings are Carl (Norma) Anderson, Billie (the late Rodney) Kukich, Patricia (the late Joe) Rodriguez, Tannie (Kathy) Anderson, Rodger (the late Charlotte) Anderson, Lynn (James) Dodd, Francis (George) Staats, Owen (Diane) Anderson, Kathy (Brian) Hans, Nekoa (Ted) Truax, Sarah Hans, Nina (Jay) Pederson, Tommie (Jodie) Anderson, the late Virgil Anderson (Delphia's twin), the late Linda Anderson and the late Frank Anderson. Of Del's extended family are cousins, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention yet all with an uncanny fondness for Del who made each of them feel special in a way that only Del could do. Del retired after a lengthy career from Roll Coater and spent her retirement years seemingly being in more places than one at the same time and racking up countless minutes on her phone as she'd run from bowling, to watching her nieces' and nephews' sporting events, to attending family gatherings, to playing cards, to chasing after her adoring grandchildren – all with boundless energy. Frail in stature but with a huge heart, Del was known and beloved by all as her heartfelt, genuine nature was an endearing trait that drew people to her from all walks of life. Someday in the Good Lord's time, Del and Tim will again share milkshakes and nightly walks along the grandest beach of all in Heaven just as they loved to do at their second home in Florida. Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 2:00 until time of Service at 6:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Pastor James Rhodes, officiating. Please note that limited access and social distancing will be in place during the visitation and service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering. In addition, if you are unable to attend or not feeling well, please consider sending a card or leaving an online condolence.
