Peter Enea, 72, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 12:13 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Peter was born on November 14, 1946 in Richmond, NY. He was the son of the late Frank and Rita (Ryan) Enea. After graduating high school, Peter went on to serve in the United States Navy as a Boatswain Mate – Petty Officer 2nd Class during the Vietnam War receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He went on to the United States Navy Reserve for seven years. Peter retired from Rockland Community College in New York as the Head Groundkeeper in 2008. Many will remember Peter for his love of gardening, 4-H, the Cooperative Extension, and Golfing; but most of the love of his wife, Kathy and his family. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Enea. Peter is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy Tompkins of Follansbee, WV, four children, Brandon Enea and his wife Yvonne of Rockingham, NC, Amber McEvoy and her husband, Matt of Follansbee, WV, James Pilcher of Harriman, NY and Kiya Bates and her husband, Kevin of Stony Point, NY, seven grandchildren, Robert and Collin Enea, Joshua McEvoy, Jeremy Iams, Rian Harkins, Clinton Bates and Sebastian Bates, a sister, Pauline Klippel of Monroe, NY and several nieces and nephews.
