Sharon King Obituary

Sharon Sue King, 61, passed away on June 22, 2017, at home on Stagecoach Road in East Liverpool, Ohio following a lengthy illness. Born September 8, 1955 in Ravenna, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harper and Ocie Sampson King of Shock, West Virginia. She attended Normantown School. She made her home in East Liverpool since moving to the home of her sister and brother in law, Lyda and Paul Dye in 1999. A Baptist by faith, she loved to go for walks, fish, and work as a volunteer at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA where she volunteered full time until 2016 when she became ill. Her delight in volunteering brought joy to many resulting in her winning the Eli Rabin award for Volunteer of the Year at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital. She is survived by her sister, Lyda Dye of East Liverpool, Ohio, her brother Larry King of Front Royal Virginia, and brothers Bo and George King of Shock, West Virginia. A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home and Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 with Elder Larry Fisher officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cottrell Cemetery, Frozen Run Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
