Betty Keesecker

Betty Ruth Kerns Keesecker,80, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born February 12, 1937 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Stewart E. and Cora V Kerns. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God. She loved going to church and listening to gospel music. She is survived by her son, Bruce Keesecker, at the home; four sisters, Catherine Burks, of Berkeley Springs, Mary Kerns, of Martinsburg, Ruby Birley, of Martinsburg, and Elly Wise, of Shippensburg, PA; three nephews, David Kees, of Berkeley Springs, John Kees, of Hedgesville, and Tom Wise, of Newburg, PA; great nephews, Matthew Kees, of Berkeley Springs and Christopher Kees, of Morgantown; great nieces, Kelly Bennett and Megan Kees, of Hedgesville, Chelsey Wise and Abby Wise, of Newburg, PA; two great-great nieces, June and Alice Bennett, of Hedgesville; and a great-great nephew Hayden Harper, of Berkeley Springs. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Keesecker and a brother, Lee Kerns. Service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 2:00PM at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Johnston officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Johnsontown Church Cemetery at Open Arms Ministry Church. Pallbearers will be Tom Wise, John Kees, David Kees, Matthew Kees, Mike Burks, and Scott Diehl.
