Chase Cox

Chase was born 3/9/1998 to Christy and Michael Cox. He was born in Jacksonville, NC, where his dad was stationed with the USMC. Chase grew up in Hawaii, Texas, NC, KY, VA, and finally WV. He was close to his siblings, especially Brian growing up. Chase liked to draw, read, play video games, and listen to music. He loved martial arts movies He was a fan of many genres of music. He loved Mountain Dew and Lord of the Rings like his mom and loved being on the water, like his dad. Chase turned into quite the apologist and loved defending the faith. He was someone who wanted to understand the why and liked to discuss various points of view and beliefs. Though he suffered from severe depression and anxiety, Chase knew he was loved unconditionally by his creator and wanted others to know that too. Chase had a great sense of humor. He was always telling jokes, trying to make people laugh, finding the humor in every situation. He loved to find someone having a bad day and try to cheer them up and was most successful. He was very compassionate and had the biggest, kindest heart. He especially adored babies and little children and his youngest two siblings certainly held a special place in his heart. He couldn’t enter the room without picking them up, hugging them, and playing with them. Chase leaves behind many people who loved him dearly; his mother, Christy Jaeger; his father Michael Cox; his stepparents, Kris Jaeger and Stephanie Cox, his siblings, Brian Horne, Mikayla Cox, John Patrick Cox, Cameron Jaeger, his beloved Lilliana Jaeger, and Lukas Jaeger, his nephew Wyatt and his “adopted” brother Brandon Fenner. He also leaves behind his step-siblings Ashley Howard, Mikayla and Olivia Alexander, Jacob Adamson, nieces Harper and Ilyeana, and nephew Braxton. He is also survived by his grandparents, Pat and Lois Owens; Cynthia and Terry Bozarth, Frank Cox, and Donna Brewer.
