Ernestine "Butch" Rice, 90,of Martinsburg, WV, died Thursday,March 1, 2007 at City Hospital. Born June 2, 1916 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Hutzler and Lillian Dunham Hutzler. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School, Class of 1935. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Raney,of Martinsburg,WV, Carol Jeanne Burkhard, of Charles Town, WV, two grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and a brother, Paul M. Hutzler of Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar M. Rice; a grandson, Christopher Scott Raney, three sisters and three brothers. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery with the Rev.Dr. G. Edward Grove officiating. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 122 S. High St., Morgantown, WV 26501.
