Howard Calvert Oak Hill, West Virginia Obituary

Howard Calvert

Howard F. Calvert Jr of Fayetteville West Virginia, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son of the most high God was called home to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday June 6th 2017. Born April 5th 1950 to the late Howard and Helen Calvert. Jr was a strong Vietnam veteran who proudly served and treasured his country dearly. Not only was he Godly man who was devoted to his church, he was also a family man who adored his loved ones. His purpose in life was to serve his God and take care of his family, which he took very seriously. Every day of his 67 years, this is exactly what he did. He always made sure that his family and friends knew the love he had for them, whether it was though his words or his actions. To say that he will be missed is a huge understatement. He touched the life of every person he encountered and he will forever remain in our hearts. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years Jenny Calvert, Son Franklin Calvert and wife Billie Jean, Daughter Angie Proskin and husband Tommy. Grandsons Andrew, Alex, and Eli Proskin, Joey and Samuel Calvert. Granddaughters Kaylea and husband Ryan Elkins, and Chloe Calvert. Brothers Thomas and David Calvert. Sisters Barbra Light and Sissy Southall and a host of nieces and nephews The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the VA Medical Center for their wonderful care.
