Margaret Ella Evans, 78, of Oak Hill passed away Monday October 23, 2017 at her home. She was born on January 13, 1939 in Oak Hill to the late Jesse B. Evans and Gladys M. Pinson. Margie was a retired medical transcriptionist who loved to read, bake and decorate cakes. She was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Besides her parents Miss Evans was preceded in death by her sister, Mae Ann Canterbury, step-mother Virgie M. Evans, and step-sisters Kathleen Fink, Jewell Wood and Maxine Workman. She will be sadly missed by 13 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews, 14 great, great nieces and nephews and 12 great, great, great nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 28, 2017 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
