Reverend Melvin Dolin went to be with Jesus on Friday, June 23, 2017. He was 95 years old. He was born in Beardsfork, WV on July 9, 1921 to the late Ernest Dolin and Leatha Parsons Dolin. He has been a resident of Oak Hill, WV after living in Lake Wales, FL and Mt. Hope, WV. Reverend Dolin pastored at the First Church of God in Mt. Hope for over 21 years and was also a building contractor and carpenter. He served in the Navy during World War II. Above all things he loved Jesus and spent his life in His service. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Dolin, his mother Leatha Dolin, his wife of 54 years Belva Clay Dolin, his wife of 12 years Christine Reynolds Dolin, brothers; Wilburn, Clarence and Lawrence Dolin, and sister Gladys Dolin Clay. He is survived by his children; Randall Dolin (Sandra) of Oak Hill, WV, Debra Hazelwood (Richard) of Lake Wales, FL, grandchildren; Christopher Dolin (Christina), Jared Metcalfe (Brittany), Tyler Dolin, Logan Metcalfe, and Ambry Metcalfe. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill from 6-9pm. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1pm Monday, June 26, 2017 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Bink Mooney and Rev. Oakley Slate officiating.
