John Vernon Peffer, 31, of New Martinsville WV lost his battle to addiction on, March 7, 2021. Johnny was born on December 22, 1989 in New Martinsville WV; son of John Larry Peffer of New Martinsville, WV and Deana (Albright) Reeves (Robbie Reeves) of Ormond Beach, FL. He was loved by his family and enjoyed fishing and hunting, above most baseball, and the Steelers. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Beverly Albright; paternal grandparents, Vernon Peffer and Norma (Ludwig) Peffer Nicolette and bonus grandfather, Paul Shank. Surviving in addition to his father and mother; bonus grandmothers, Gertrude Shank of New Martinsville, WV and Linda Reeves Ormond Beach, FL; partner, Carlin Wade of New Martinsville, WV; daughters, Layla Joycelane Peffer and unborn child, Coralynn Jade-Scott Peffer both at home; brothers, Dylan (Andrew) Shank-Amaro of Wadsworth Ohio, Jeffrey (Defileen) Shank of Anchorage Alaska, Randy Peffer of New Martinsville WV; four nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial service will be held 6 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Lighthouse Church on Maple Ave., in New Martinsville.
