Virgie E. Kuhns, 77, of Charleroi, PA, formerly of Wetzel County died Friday, July 31, 2020 while at Jefferson Medical Center in Jefferson Hills, PA. Virgie was born November 18, 1942 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late Virgil and Goldie (Williams) Rice. She was a retired laundry worker, loved quilting and working in flower beds and she was a Catholic. In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kuhns; six siblings, Herbert Rice, Roger Rice, Carrie Allison, Betty Teagarden, Mickey Rice and Oscar Rice; brother-in-law, Larry Watson. Surviving are four brothers, Gerald (Georgie) Rice of Littleton, WV, Jack (Ruby) Rice of Weirton, WV, Jerry Rice and Paul Rice both of New Martinsville, WV; two sisters, Mary Gail Watson of Hundred, WV and Susie (Mitchell) Gonzalez of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
