Ella M. Calvert, 83, of Chiefton Hill, Clarksburg passed away Sunday night, May 14, 2017 at United Hospital Center. She was born October 20, 1933 in Harrison County, a daughter of the late Raymond Lloyd Nay and Flossie Williams Thoms. Ella is survived by her three sons, Jerry Calvert and his wife Beverly of Chiefton Hill; Charles Calvert of Chiefton Hill; and Daniel Calvert and wife Juanita of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Kirk Miller of Doddridge County; Beth Miller of Pittsburgh; Joseph Calvert of Chiefton Hill; and Jerry Joseph Calvert of Alabama; her great-grandchildren, Alan James Miller; Lacee Miller; Johnathan Calvert; and Miranda Calvert; her brothers, Charles Nay of Morgantown; Raymond Nay of Arizona; and Steve Nay of Clarksburg; her sisters, Lucille Baker of West Milford; Virginia Jenkins of Clarksburg; and Barbara Lancaster of Clarksburg; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her daughter, Dremia Miller; daughter-in-law, Virginia Kulua Calvert; sister, Dorothy Lancaster; and her brothers, George and Donald Nay. Ella was a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, and crochet. She also enjoyed planting and growing flowers. The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Bill Davis will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Clarksburg.
