Robert Stanton Faber, 53, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born July 23, 1964 in Fairmont a son of Betty Louise Conner Faber who survives in Shinnston and the late Russell William Faber.
In 2002 Robbie married Pamela Sue Whiteman Swiger Faber whom he loved dearly and the two spent the last 25 years side by side. He is also survived by his son, Ryan Bradford Faber and his wife Jessica of Shinnston; his daughter, Karina Faber Cunningham and her husband Skyler of Clarksburg; his step-daughter, Amie Swiger Galford and her husband Jesse of Lumberport; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Lamm of Shinnston; his grandchildren, Brayden, Kaylee, DeEzra, and Tyson Faber; and Jackson Ray Galford; his siblings, Bill Faber and Marilyn of Virginia; Joyce Bartlett and Chuck of Shinnston; Donna Kay Faber Walton of TX; Dave Freeman and Cindy of Enterprise; Chrissie Sturm and Scott of Bridgeport; his mother-in-law, Sharon Whiteman Baldwin and her husband Joe of Shinnston; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Robbie was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Andrew “Nick” Faber; his brother, Bradford Eugene Faber; and his father-in-law, Gary Whiteman.
Robbie was a 1982 Graduate of Lincoln High School. He retired from the Shinnston Volunteer Fire Department where he held the office of President. Robbie was a State Police Dispatcher, WV State Corrections at Moundsville and the Industrial Home for Youth in Salem. He later retired after 16 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He served at many prisons including Federal Corrections Institute Ashland, KY; Federal Corrections Institute Morgantown; and United States Penitentiary at Hazelton from which he retired.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 929 in Shinnston. He was also a member of the Jewel City Church.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Sunday from 2-8 PM and on Monday, March 19th from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
