Diann Butler

Diann Lynn Butler, 65, of Homewood Road Weston passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in United Hospital Center of Bridgeport following an extended illness. She was born in Weston on December 17, 1951: daughter of the late Clifford Blake and Edith (Cogar) Blake. Diann was married to Daris “Duke” Butler, who preceded her in death on May 21, 2009. Mrs. Butler is survived by three daughters: Michelle (Matthew) Carpenter of Buckhannon, Caryn Carpenter and fiancé Arden Cross and Angela (Brian) Williams both of Horner, one step son: Leon Butler, wife and children of Glenville, eight grandchildren: Charlie and Katie Groah and Nathan Foster, Taylor, Keara and Jacob Cross, Breanna and Brittany Williams and one great grandchild: Godric. She is also survived by one brother: Danny (Tammy) Blake of Fairmont, one sister: Donna Blake of Pipestem, one step brother: John David ( Dianne) Minor of NC, one sister-in-law: Viola Blake and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Duke, Diann was preceded in death by one son: Mitchell Junior Carpenter, II and one brother: Van Blake. Earlier in her life, Mrs. Butler was a caregiver. She was a member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church where she enjoyed attending church functions. Her hobbies included quilting and camping when she was able. Her greatest joy though was having family around her. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Richard Justice officiating.
