Joanne Gum

Joanne (Marsh) Gum, 80, of Weston passed away at her home with family by her side following an extended illness. She was born in Weston on June 22, 1936: daughter of the late Harry “Dick” Marsh and Helen (Gainer) Marsh. On April 6, 1956, she married James G. “Bud” Gum, who preceded her in death on February 19, 2007. Mrs. Gum is survived by two sons: Kenneth James Gum and wife Melissa of Mt. Clare and David Linn Gum and wife Kim of Churchville, 7 grandchildren: Tiffanie (Ryan) Rose, Jessica (Scott) Bennett, Kasey (Joseph) Lattea, Preston Gum, Lillian Gum, Abigail Henning and Jacob Henning and 4 great grandchildren: Owen Lattea, Sadie Lattea Jaye Bennett and Josie Bennett. She is also survived by two sisters: Donna Lewis and Betty Louk both of Weston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bud, Joanne was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Linda Fisher, Karen Robinson and Jean Skinner. Mrs. Gum was a housewife, mother, grandmother and sister. Family was her greatest joy and especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Stephen White officiating.
