Naomi Boram

Naomi Lee Boram, 80, of 149 John Street Weston passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Gilmer County on February 10, 1931: daughter of the late John William Steele and Trixie Ann Steele. On May 26, 1948, she was married to Cecil E. Boram, who survives. Also surviving is one daughter: Terry Given and husband Gary of Weston, one son: Daniel Thomas Boram and wife April of Beebe, AR, one grandson: Christopher Conrad and one step grandson: Phillip Russell, II. She is also survived by one brother: Charles “Bud” Steele of Wilmington, NC, two sisters: Ruth W. Mick of Copen and Erma McGill of Cleveland, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to parents, Mrs. Boram was preceded in death by one brother: Earl Frances Steele and three sisters: Freda Steele, Roma Shaver and Retha Hood. Mrs. Boram was a cook with Weston Junior High School with 20 years of service. She was a graduate Burnsville High School and a Baptist by faith. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Kenneth Miller officiating. Interment will follow services in the Peterson Cemetery of Weston, WV. On-line condolences may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
