Leonard H. Mullen. Age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer. He was born on May 26, 1924 in Bloomer Wisconsin to Herman and May (Holmen) Mullen. Leonard proudly served his country during WWII were his was a sergeant in the US Army. He married Geraldine Borofka at Ft. Bragg NC in 1946. Leonard retired as a supervisor at Uniroyal. He was a past commander of the Bloomer American Legion and was Sous Directeur Ritual of the 40et8. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife: Geraldine of Bloomer; son: Kenneth (Susan) Mullen of Chippewa Falls; daughters Connie (Brian) Saville of St. Louis MO, Sue Mullen of Bloomer, Dianne (Stuart) Johnstone of Chestertown NY, and Carole Mullen of Bloomer; brothers: Raymond (Carol) Mullen of Chippewa Falls, Clarence (Dorothy) Mullen of Derby KS; sister: Alice (Clayton) Boese of Bloomer, 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law: Duane Ruth Funeral services will be held at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM with David W. Olson officiating. Interment will be at the Scandinavian Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Bloomer American Legion/VFW. A visitation will be held Friday November 18, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home.
