John Carroll

John Joseph Carroll, age 62, of Cazenovia, passed away too soon on June 18, 2017 at home. He was the oldest son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Kast) Carroll. He graduated from Weston High School in 1973. He then graduated from Fennimore Vocational School in 1975. On April 27, 2002 he married Debra Lynn. John had several jobs, but in 1995, began working for the Village of Cazenovia until his retirement in 2015. Special Olympics played a big part in his life, helping with the local Special Olympics agency. John was active as a volunteer fireman in Cazenovia for 39 years. He was also a member of Hill County Classic Power Club. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish. John is survived by his wife, Debra; Daughter, Melissa (Joseph) Ladika; Granddaughters who meant the world to him: Paige, Tatiana, Brieleigh, and Josephina; Brother, Dennis (Mary) Carroll; Niece, Sarah; nephews: Patrick and Daniel; Sisters-in-law, Dawn (Dennis) Grass, Diane (Dale) Mueller, Darcy and brother-in-law, Dwight. He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph John and Elizabeth (Kast) Carroll. A Mass of Christian Burial for John J. Carroll will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 23, 2017, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Germantown. Burial will follow in the Loyd Cemetery, Loyd, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
