Abel Moya Garcia

Abel M. Garcia, Sr., 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at The Manor of Kenosha. Born in San Antonio, TX, on October 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Fidel and Marie Garcia. At the age of 18, Abel come to Kenosha to work at AMC. He retired after 38 years there. On April 28, 1951, he married Dorothy L. Hyatt. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2013. Survivors include his three sons, Abel (Brenda Frederick) Garcia, Jr. of Kenosha, John (Clarence Dunn) Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, and Joseph (Sherry) Garcia of Kenosha; a son-in-law, Michael Brown of Kenosha; three grandsons, Jesse, Richard, and Paul (Angela) Garcia; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Anthony; and a sister, Theresa Lozano. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Brown; and eight siblings, Delfino, Yscerdra, Tita, twins Lolita and Alex, John in infancy, Olivia, and Sally. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21st, at Proko Funeral Home, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Donations to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
