Alberta Warnock

Alberta M. Warnock, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Hospitality Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha. Born in Portsmouth, OH, on June, 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Octava Schweinsburg. She was educated in the schools of Ohio before coming to Kenosha in 1947 to make her home. On April 11, 1943, in Portsmouth, OH, she married James Warnock; they had been married almost 60 years until James passed away on March 11, 2003. For many years she was employed by Quaker Industries in Antioch, IL. Alberta was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling, dancing, camping and TOPS Club. When her children were younger she served as a den mother with the Cub Scouts. Surviving Alberta are her four children, James D. (Cyndi), Roy (Cathy), Dave (Sue) Warnock, all of Kenosha and Timothy (Karen) Warnock of Ridgedale, MO; nine grandchildren and one on the way; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma Wisneski and Mary Murta. She was preceded in death by two sons, John and Randy Warnock; a grandson, Joshua James Warnock; two brothers, James and George; and a sister, Mildred. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13th, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday at Proko Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
