Benny G. Agazzi, 79, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Medical Center Campus surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kenosha on June 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Gene and Emma (Scopel) Agazzi. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. Ben served his country in the Unites States Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962. On July 28, 1962, he married Marlene LaMantia in Kenosha. Ben was formerly employed with Warwick’s for ten years before working for Wisconsin Bell until his retirement in 1994. After retirement, he worked part time with Kenosha Unified School District, helping handicapped children. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, and watching TV. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marlene Agazzi of Kenosha; four daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Kreuser, Lori (Mike) DeFranco, Julie (Jeff Keene) Agazzi and Jill Stanton, all of Kenosha; a brother, Robert (Arlene) Agazzi of Kenosha; two sisters, Jeanie (Pat) Looby of Brookfield and Donna (Jim) Keckeisen of Kenosha; a sister-in-law, Nancy Pillizzi of Kenosha; 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Michael and Nick Schroeder, Caila Turvaville, Frankie and Rick DeFranco, Jacob and Janessa Repinski, Luke and Jaydin Stanton, and Halli Kreuser; and six great-grandchildren, Brody, Kelon, Parker, Pierson and Grayson Schroeder, and Ava DeFranco. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and James LaMantia; and a son-in-law, Lonny Stanton. Benny’s family would like to thank the entire emergency room staff at UHS-Kenosha Campus for all of the help and care they gave him that day. They would also like to specifically thank the nurse that sang Benny’s favorite song with them that day, Amazing Grace.
