Betty H. Sengbush, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at Kenosha Estates on Sunday, September 23, 2012.
Born in Racine on December 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John "Jack" and Bell Bentz.
In 1940 she married Glen H. Sengbush in Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2004.
Betty was employed by Hamilton Beach as a machine operator manufacturing appliances.
She was a member of the former St. Richard Catholic Church. She loved animals, music, golfing, bowling and traveling to Arizona and Texas.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Robert (Barbara) Sengbush; niece, Lynn (Phil) Herr; and special friends and loving caregivers, Betsy (Mark) Anderson, Don (Carol "Kare") Downing, Pat (Bonnie) Grayson, Laura (Kyle) Nolan, Ella Woltersdorf and Christine (Cole) McCoy.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant daughter, Leta Marie.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kenosha Safe Harbor Humane Society would be appreciated.
