Burton J. Watring, Jr., of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Hospice House with his loving family by his side. Burton was born on May 16, 1929, the son of the late Burton J. Sr., and Virginia (Riffle) Watring. On June 10, 1950, he married Genevieve Ambrosini at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Kenosha. He was employed by AMC as a safety director for 32 years, until his retirement in 1977. After his retirement he was employed as a Sales Manager for Watring Construction. He retired again in 1989, after 12 more years of employment. Burton was member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling, taking cruises, family gatherings, and spending time at his cabin in the north woods. He was the founder of the "Moose Hunters Social". Burt was an Eagle Scout and lived his life by that code. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Genevieve; three children, Burton (Sue) Watring III of Pleasant Prairie, Kathleen (Ben) Rader of Burlington, and Kevin Watring of Melrose, WI; ten grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Ben, Suzie, Brett, Brittany, Allysa, Kevin Jr., Gennalynn and Wesley; seven great-grandchildren, Sydney, Emma, Taylor, Preston, Abby, and the twins, Mason and Braydon; four brothers, Roy (Rita) Watring, Daniel J. (Sharon) Watring, Sr., Robert Watring, and Kelly Watring, all of Kenosha; and a sister, Anna May Spreckels of Baraboo, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marjorie (Joe) Romano and Sharron (Richard) Lundgren; two nephews, Richie Lundgren and Jeffrey Sieger; and a daughter in-law, Shari Watring. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 24th, at Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
