Gerald “Jerry” Royce, 79, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. Born in White Lake, WI, on September 2, 1934, he was the son of the late Clarence and Rosa Belle (Oliver) Royce. He graduated from White Lake High School and attended Great Lakes Bible Institute. Jerry served in the United States Army for two years. After the service he lived and worked in various Wisconsin communities including Lakewood, WI, returning to the Kenosha area in 2011. In 1954, he married Audrey Wilson in White Lake, WI; she preceded him in death on April 16, 1981. On October 16, 1982, he married Norma (Luther) Winslow in Zion, IL. Jerry was a medical laboratory technologist at the Zion Clinic in Zion, IL, and later became a general contractor and then a real estate broker. Jerry loved the Lord and was a volunteer in the SOWER mission projects. He was a life member of both the NRA and North American Hunting Club and loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and restoring old farm tractors. Survivors include his wife, Norma of Pleasant Prairie; three sons, Gregory G. (Maryann) Royce of Nekoosa, WI, Michael C. (Patty Wollin) Royce of LaValle, WI, and Scott D. (Missy) Royce of Mountain, WI; two step sons, Jerry (Diane) Winslow of Antioch, IL, and Tom (Dusica) Winslow of Pleasant Prairie; two sisters, Irene and Lorraine Royce, both of Kenosha; five grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th, at the Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 7th, at Four Corners Assembly of God in White Lake, WI, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private at Langlade Cemetery in Wolf River, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lighthouse Christian Camp, Inc., 205 Serenity Place, Smithville, TN 37166, would be appreciated by the family.
