Irene C. Davis, 93, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at her residence with her daughter and grandchildren by her side on Thursday, August 22, 2013.

Born in Miller City, IL, on November 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Della (Jones) Haynes. She was educated in the schools of Illinois. She resided in Lake Villa, IL, for five years before moving to Bristol in 1973 to make her home.

On June 15, 1963, she married William R. "Bill" Davis at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa, IL. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2004.

For over 28 years she was employed at Midwestern Regional Hospital in Zion, IL, as a Medical Technician, retiring on November 10, 1999. She and her husband moved to Brighton Township, where they built and operated Happy Acres Kampground in 1969, which continues to this day.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton. Irene enjoyed gardening and was an animal lover and avid traveler.

Surviving are her daughter, Lorrine Myers of Bristol; two grandchildren, Kevin (Jeanine) Myers and Greg (Kathy) Myers; four great-grandchildren, Katie Iacucci, Keith Myers, Steve Myers and Karen Albert; and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by several caring nieces and nephews, especially Bill and Cheryl Haynes.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Macie Amos, and son-in-law, Dennis Myers.

Relatives and friends are asked to meet on Tuesday, August 27th, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1704-240th Avenue, Kansasville, WI, for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
