Obituary
Janet M. Johnson, 98, of Shawano, WI, passed at Evergreen Care Center, Shawano, WI, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011.
She was born on January 14, 1913, in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Glaser) Murray. She attended school in Kenosha and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.
She married Alwin O. Brehm in Kenosha, WI, in 1938 and married Edwin A. Johnson in Kenosha, WI, in 1948. Alwin and Janet had two children – a daughter, Janet Lee, and a son, Alvin O. “Skip” Johnson. Janet worked for many years as a seamstress at The Kenosha Leader Store and was a charter member of Wesley Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Skip (Donna M.) Johnson of Shawano, WI. She is also survived by five grandsons and one granddaughter, Steven R. Zoellner, Robert P. (Morgan) Johnson, Robert J. (Emily) Zoellner and Heather K. (Randy) Matthiesen, all of Minnesota, and Jeffrey M. (Lynn) Johnson and Brian E. (Dana) Johnson, both of Kenosha, WI. She is further survived by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her daughter, Janet Lee Zoellner, a brother, Randall, and three sisters, Ruth, Cora and Caroline.
The family wishes to express our tremendous gratitude to the entire staff at Evergreen Care Center, Shawano, WI, for the outstanding care given to Janet. She was truly blessed to have had them for her caregivers.
Private Graveside services were held on Monday, January 24th, at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Kenosha, WI.
