John E. Jechorek, 73, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at his home.
Born in Kenosha on January 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Conrad and Valerie (Kurklis) Jechorek. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. John served his country in the United States Army from April 14, 1966, until his honorable discharge on April 14, 1968, with some time spent overseas in Korea.
John was employed with American Motors Corporation/Chrysler for 30 years until his retirement in 1993. He loved fishing, gardening, listening to music, and collecting old newspapers. He was also a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
Survivors include his three siblings, Tom (Darlene) Jechorek of Waterford, WI, Gail Millhouse of Kenosha, and Sally (George) Martin of Brock, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jechorek at birth.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 15th, at St. George Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with full military honors.
