Kevin A. “Big K” Doublin, 64, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at his residence. Born in Chicago, IL, on June 23, 1952, he was the son of the late Thomas and Zita (Bulzak) Doublin. He was educated in the schools of Chicago. On August 8, 1981, he married Jadwiga Koziol in Chicago. Together they moved to Kenosha in 1991. Kevin was a professional driver, working as a coach bus driver before retiring from Milwaukee County Transit System. After retirement, he started his own limousine service, Big K Limo. He was a member of the National Limousine Association and enjoyed camping and traveling. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed taking photos of buses. Kevin was very passionate about giving back to the community by either donating transportation services or giving financially. Survivors include his wife, Jadwiga Doublin of Pleasant Prairie; two daughters, Melissa (Jim) Jenkins of Kenosha and Christine Doublin-Escamilla of Pleasant Prairie; a sister, Kathleen Rich of Chicago; his mother-in-law, Danuta Koziol of Poland; and three grandchildren, Jozef, Brooklyn and Cesar. He is further survived by several other relatives and friends, in both Poland and the United States. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jozef Koziol. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
