Louis Costanzo

Louis C. Costanzo, 69, of Shorewood, died on July 8, 2010, on his way to his new home in Wisconsin. He was born on July 13, 1940, in Kenosha, the son of the late Louis and RoseLena (Mancuso) Costanzo. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. He received his Bachelor’s of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and his Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He was self-employed as a technical writer business in Minneapolis and Milwaukee. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 until 1962. Louis was a Kenosha native who was passionate about classical music, enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was looking forward to being back in Wisconsin and planning for future travels. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Kotz); daughters, Anne Costanzo of New Berlin and Lucia (Ken) Mennen of Delafield; and grandchildren, Alexander and Iris. He is further survived by his brother, Michael of Kenosha; and sisters, Catherine (William) Pollock of Sebastian, FL, and Rita of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by parents, Louis and RoseLena Costanzo; sister, Anna Marie Porcaro; and brother, Joseph. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 16th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with full Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Family suggests that any memorials be directed to the Metropolitan Opera Saturday broadcasts or local music education programs.
