Dolly Aiello, 73, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Kenosha on July 7, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Passanante) Ritacca. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she graduated from Kenosha High School. She was a high stepper, trumpet player and enjoyed ballet, tap and pointe.

On January 13, 1962, she married Bruno Aiello at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

A beautician for over 55 years, Dolly worked at Esther’s Beauty Shop for 43 years until it closed. She has been working at Studio 22 in Kenosha since 2003.

Dolly was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church; she was on the home and school board, a volunteer at the Holy Rosary Festival pen game, and Ladies Altar Society officer, serving as Treasurer and Secretary for 30 years. Dolly taught cake decorating and sewing as a volunteer at Holy Rosary School, a member of Women of the Moose-Lodge and Genealogy Society. She enjoyed decorating wedding cakes and baking Italian pastries. Dolly also enjoyed Bingo and traveling to Las Vegas, and cheering for the Cubs and Yankees.

Surviving are her husband, of 52 years, Bruno Aiello of Kenosha; her three children, Catherine (Jeffrey) Eggert of Kenosha, Lucille (Robert) Ruth of Brooklyn, WI, and James (Alison) Aiello of Hilliard, OH; four sisters, Rose Marie “Cookie” DelConte, Marilyn Bindelli, Virginia Ritacca and Juanita (Daniel) Stolfo; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Aceto; brother-in-law, Daniel (Barbara) Aiello all of Kenosha; and a brother-in-law, Douglas Reindl of Mesa, AZ; her ten grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Samuel Eggert, and Francesca, Flaviana, Robert, Josephine, John, Philomena and Thomas Ruth; and also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Catherine Aiello; a sister, Nadine Reindl; and three brothers-in-law, Mario Aceto, Dante Bindelli and James Del Conte.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Malik Bandealy, the staff of Aurora Cancer Center and Hospice Alliance for all the special care given to Dolly.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 1st, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
