Phillip Searles Obituary

Phillip Allen Searles, 43, of Poplar Grove, IL, formerly of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, February 14th, 2006, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Born in Kenosha on December 10, 1962, he was the son of Harry and Ellen (Paul) Searles. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Concordia University in Beloit, WI. He moved to Illinois in March of 1992 to make his home. On May 12, 1984, in Kenosha, he married Karen Brown. He was sales manager for Auto Zone and had previously worked as a chemist for 20 years at Henkel Adhesives and Findley-Bostik Adhesives. He enjoyed muscle cars, race cars, doing mechanical work on cars, and rebuilding his "61" T-Bird. Phillip was a self taught expert in computers and an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Surviving are his wife, Karen of Poplar Grove, IL; two sons, Jacob and Joshua Searles, both of Illinois; a daughter, Heather Searles of Illinois; his parents of Iowa; a brother, William Benjamin (Sarah) Searles of Kenosha; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth June Searles of Iowa; and his maternal grandmother, Florence Wesselius of Kenosha. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20th, at 11:00 am at Proko Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Proko Funeral Home.
