Timothy Zuehlsdorf Obituary

Timothy James Zuehlsdorf, 55, of West Allis, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Kenosha on September 28, 1957, he was the son of Richard and Eileen (McAleer) Zuehlsdorf. He was educated in local schools graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. On February 10, 1986, he married Barbara Irmischer in Milwaukee. Tim was employed as a registered nurse for 32 years at various local hospitals and teaching nursing at UW-Milwaukee Campus. Tim enjoyed cooking, gardening, and was a licensed massage therapist for over 20 years. Survivors include his special friend, Jim Shopofski of West Allis; his wife of Kenosha; a son, Gabriel Zuehlsdorf of Kenosha; a daughter, Alexandra (Daniel) Guzman of Milwaukee; his father, Richard Zuehlsdorf of Kenosha; four brothers, his twin Terrence (Patrick O’Toole) Zuehlsdorf of Milwaukee, Kevin Zuehlsdorf of Milwaukee, Michael (Patty) Zuehlsdorf of Prescott, WI, and Mark (Becky) Zuehlsdorf of Kenosha; a sister, Colleen Lawler (nee: Zuehlsdorf) of Kenosha; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Zuehlsdorf. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital for all of the wonderful and compassionate care they gave Tim. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 16th, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of one’s choice in Tim’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
