Mary E. Brotcke, 70, of Oostburg, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at her home. Mary was born on October 9, 1946 in Kenosha to Harold and Florence (Sikorsky) Ebell. On October 2, 1965 she married John Brotcke and they had three children together. Mary was a devoted mother and made it her mission to nurture, raise and entertain her family. Mary enjoyed gardening and doing crafts, especially making jewelry and coloring and looked forward to celebrating her favorite holidays, Halloween and Christmas. She also loved making cakes for the grandchildren’s birthdays. Mary will be remembered as being a fun loving person who would light up the room when she walked in. Mary is survived by her three children, Karen Jaeger of Oostburg, Ann (Mike) Gilbert of Delafield and Neal (Amy) Brotcke of Horicon; six grandchildren, Brianna, Crystal, Taylor, Bradley, Cole and Holly; her mother, Florence Ebell of Kenosha; and two sisters, Fran (Bill) Dase of Kenosha and JoAnn (John) Alexander of TX. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, John Brotcke and one son-in-law, Wesley Biswell. A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 1pm, with Rev. Toby Thomack officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the funeral home from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. A memorial fund is being established in Mary’s name.
