Errol Merit Demaskie, age 80 passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was born February 14, 1937 son of Harry and Mae (Baker) Demaskie of LaValle, Wisconsin. Errol was united in marriage on August 31, 1957 to Ramona Mae Stout at the La Valle Methodist Church. Errol and Ramona had three children. Growing up in Wisconsin, he enjoyed spending time farming on the family farm as a young adult. He worked at the Reedsburg Wooling Company, GM of Janesville, WI, and Grede Foundry. He had great interested in electrical work and achieved his electrical license. Errol was a volunteer firefighter for many years and a member of the Methodist Church of La Valle. Errol had a love of the open road and was an over the road trucker for many years in which his wife Ramona spent time in the truck with him. He retired from Allstate Carriers at the age of 68. He then spent time with his grandchildren and loved to go camping along with spending time with his family. He was dedicated and devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children: Earlene (Tom) Borleske of LaValle, Ramon (Rose) Demaskie of LaValle, Vaughn (Monica) Demaskie of Hillsboro; Brothers: Harold(Barb) Demaskie of Fond du Lac, Dale (Darlene) Demaskie of Hillsboro, Sister in law Francis Rego of Hasting, MN, Cyril (Ruth) Rego of Cazenovia; Grandchildren: Nicole(Bill) Brunken of Reedsburg, Shaughna (Ryan) Wilson of Platteville, Courtney (Jamie)Tucker of Washburn, Dillon Borleske of Reedsburg, Anna Demaskie of La Valle, April Demaskie(Edmundo Ademe) of Reedsburg; Great Grandchildren: Nolan Walter, Lia Nicole, Lucille Mae, Emelea Lorre, Thatcher Scott, Raelynn Rebecca, Colton Thomas, and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ramona, Parents Harry & Mae Demaskie, Brothers Verlyn (Doreen) & Lee Demaskie, Nieces Dana Thomas, Linda Caponergero, Great Nephew RJ Thomas, Sister-in law Betty Rego, Brother in law Martin Rego, and the late Eugene Stout. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 4pm-8pm at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, WI and again on Saturday from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service at the church. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. the Methodist Church of La Valle, WI with Pastor Mike Biesek officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Eden Cemetery in Wonewoc, WI.
